Our class has been swimming in Term 3. We have been learning to float, how to swim and water safety. My favourite part was making the currents to swim through.
On Monday it was athletics day at school. We had activities like high jump and long jump. My favourite part was long jump because I was almost furthest. I want to get better at shot put.
Last week was Maori Language Week. We made some koru art. We had to use warm colours and cool colours.
I like the patterns I made on the koru.
Next time I would make the cool colours have straight lines.
Here are my group’s Lego towers. We had to build a tower and then our teacher shook them on a board like an earthquake. All of them fell. We had to rebuild them but make changes to improve them. They lasted longer the second time. It was fun.
Last week we had some visitors from Corban Estate Art centre came to show us how to make 3D paper art we made volcanoes. I liked smashing the clay to make paint and trading colours. Next time I would put less colour.
